Cyber smart Challenge #22 Empowerment

 

This week's Cybersmart Challenge was about empowerment, which is the "authority or power given to someone to do something". We should follow these instructions when we receive a blog comment that makes you sad or when you receive an email that makes you sad. Something important I learned from this challenge is to tell a teacher or an adult if you don't know what to do.

Google Meet Priorities

 

Last week my class and I had to complete a slide for our cyber smart task. We had to fill in the gaps with the right words. It was about the priorities we need to do when we are in a google meeting. 

8-Bit Art Work

 Today in Cybersmart wit Mr. Goodwin we were assigned to complete quality blog comments. Mr. G has been tracking our comments since two weeks ago. Ocean had the most posts and won a  healthy KitKat (Regular KitKat). 

We all learned  how to create our own digital Mario 8-bit art, as well as our own piece. I created PAC-MAN, a Ghost, Captain America and Iron Man.

      

Silly Pictures

 

Today for out cyber smart we had silly pictures with our favourite celebrities or anime characters. I met Goku at McDonald I asked what its like saving planets and he said it is a lot of work. After that I asked him if I could take a picture with him. That was the best day of my life.

What If

                                            

Today's writing session was a fun and silly one. Writing can be fun and silly, but things that shouldn't be silly in our writing includes accurate spelling, punctuation and grammar - thanks for lesson and reminder, Mr Goodwin! 

Over the next few days, Room 7 will also be writing their own "What if" experiences. Please keep an eye out for their pieces of writing - enjoy!             

What if you were a teacher ?

For our cyber smart we are making a lot of what ifs and for today we did what if you were a teacher.

 If I were a teacher for a day, it would be really fun .

My classroom would be year 1 and 2, they would be very loud and they would be very creative. 

I would ask them to draw whatever they like and wic ever one is the best they would get a gold star. If we went on a field trip it would be too Sea Life (Kelly Tarltons).

For our Cybersmart we had to do what was on the Bingo Card and we had to do what it said it was a lot of fun.

About Me 2021

 Fakaalofa Atu. My name is Willie and I am a year 7, I go to Ruapotaka School and my teacher is Mr. Nevalagi. My culture is Samoan. In my family I am the second oldest. I have 1 younger brother, 1 older brother and 2 younger sisters. I like playing Minecraft and Fortnite. My favourite fast food restaurant is Mc’donalds.                        

Using Bookmarks

 

Our Cybersmart teacher Mr. Goodwin taught us how to use book marks and taught us how to make folders for your bookmarks. 

(I already new how to make bookmarks and folders last year)

Today in cyber smart we played a game called Safety Land and then made a poster about Learn, Create, Share.

For our cyber smart we were making the tallest tower.

We used 12 sticks and 2 marshmallows. It was hard to make but then we made our tower stand.When it stood we got to eat the marshmallows and threw the sticks in the bin. The qualities that our team had was kind, happy, questions, share, smile, respect, and teamwork.
